The role
You will be a Subject Matter Expert for electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation of our client’s electrical systems and electrical assets.
Provide technical support, leadership and guidance to projects, operations, and maintenance.
Take responsibility for electrical aspects of projects & modifications, developing and reviewing designs and specifications for new electrical systems and equipment.
Key Accountabilities:
Site Electrical Equipment includes:
Power Transformers, HV/LV Switchgear Air, Vacuum and Oil, HV/LV distribution, tripping batteries, transformer rectifier units, ATEX and FLP Motors, Motor Starters, HV / LV VSDs, Soft Starts, UPSs, lighting, trace heating, industrial immersion heaters, HVAC, Hazardous Area Cabling/Containment/Junction Boxes, Lightning Protection Systems and Earthing and Bonding Systems.
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Knowledge and skills will cover hydrocarbon & chemical storage, process safety and knowledge of UK specific regulations such as Electricity at Work Regulations, DSEAR, PUWER, CDM and COMAH.
