As a Performance Systems Engineer, you will have the chance to work with cutting-edge technology and be part of a dynamic manufacturing team. Are you passionate about IC engine calibration or performance simulation?
You will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring the highest level of efficiency and productivity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, design experiments, and analyse data to identify performance bottlenecks and develop innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for improving the performance of manufacturing systems.
- Conduct IC engine calibration or performance simulation to optimize engine performance and efficiency.
- Design and execute experiments to evaluate the impact of process changes on performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain performance testing procedures and protocols.
- Monitor and analyse performance data to identify trends and patterns and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in performance engineering techniques.
About you:
The successful Performance Systems Engineer will have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Experience in IC engine calibration or performance simulation is a must, along with strong data analysis skills. Your ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders will set you apart.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of aftertreatment systems (SCR, DOC, DPF)
- Experience with using MATLAB and/or Simulink
- Experience of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools.
Job Title – Performance Systems Engineer

Type – 18 Month contract – Hybrid working available, but minimum of 2 days on site.
Hours – Core hours 08:30 – 16:45 Mon-Thurs, 08:30-16:15 Fri. Flexibility around this
Salary – Up to £27 per hour, DOE
