Have you got experience with off-highway equipment? We are looking for a Quality Test Engineer to join a global manufacturing company based in Peterborough, on a 12-month contract.
Experience is key in this role, The main function of a Quality Test Engineer is to research and test the design, functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems, and processes and to develop quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
- May write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
- May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.
- Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
About you:
The successful applicant will hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, with 5-7 years’ experience. You will also have previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD), with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Basic leadership and mentoring skills are necessary to provide support to the wider team. You must be organised and able to communicate at all levels effectively across a global environment, including management of customers and deliver top customer service.
